The Trombone Shorty Foundation recently offered our “Intro to the Music Industry” Masterclass over the course of 4 sessions in October. At this Masterclass held at the New Orleans Career Center, participants learned about the structure of the music industry; how artists get paid (covering music rights and royalties); and career paths both on and off the stage. The Trombone Shorty Foundation focuses on providing young musicians with the skills and experiences to become professionals in a supportive and interactive setting, with a full schedule of Fall and Spring Masterclasses open to all (ages 14-24 only).
